KC Horse Barn Builders builds horse barns for acreage owners around Kansas City. We handle the brief, the site and county questions, the design and a line-item proposal; our post-frame building crew — with project scope and location confirmed in the written proposal — builds it.
How the work is delivered
Send a project brief so we can review the scope, location and site questions. The written proposal identifies the construction responsibilities and your point of contact.
The crew that builds our barns:
- Specializes in post-frame construction — wood-frame buildings on treated laminated posts, with steel framing available when a project calls for it.
- Builds the whole project or just the shell. The written proposal identifies which pad, concrete, stall and trade work is included. A framing-only proposal covers the engineered shell, with the rest left to you.
- Concrete scope is explicit. The proposal identifies responsibility for the aisle, rooms and wash stall.
- Permit responsibility is explicit. Confirm who applies, pays and arranges inspections in the written proposal.
- Warranty terms belong in writing. Ask for the applicable workmanship and manufacturer terms before signing.
We publish only what we can show you. If a credential matters to your decision, ask and we will send the record rather than paste a badge.
Why we publish our research
Most barn buyers around Kansas City sign before they see what a four-stall barn costs with concrete and sitework in, or whether their county treats the barn as agricultural. So the planning guide, cost guide and county rules we work from are on this site, sourced, with national figures labeled national and the county questions that still need a phone call marked as such.
What we build, and where
Custom horse barns, barn shells, run-in sheds and hay and equipment barns, for private horse owners around Kansas City. Send your parcel to confirm availability; the county notes are on where we build. Boarding and lesson facilities are a different building and a different permit; tell us early and we will plan for it.
